Handwoven on 24 square tablets, the belt is a fine example of modern use of a traditional weaving techique. I designed this pattern myself in 2015 and it was one of my very first own designs. This is only the third belt with this pattern I ever made since.
Vivid shades of blue and contrasting details in yellow give it a luxurious feel while the central pattern is simple, elegant and clean. The woven part is 216 cm long which makes the total length over 236 cm.
This belt would be a nice gift for a reenactor or LARPer. I can also imagine it as a handfasting cord or wedding dress accessory. It can also be worn with modern clothes. Just imagine how it transforms the look of a common winter coat!
