About pattern
I found inspiration for this handwoven belt in book Celaines by Lilija Balgalve-Treimane. I used a traditional Latvian pattern from Daugavpils region.
This belt suits modern clothes as well as historical costumes and adds a folk-ish accent to the outfit. Present tablet weaving technique is often called pebble-weave because of its typical background structure.
