This belt with elaborate pattern of diamond-like shapes is a nice accessory for historical and fantasy costumes. Outermost 6 tablets on each side were turned the same direction all the time. This created a durable and smooth border. Belt is good both for high- and low-status characters and looks wonderful with simple modern dresses, shirts or coats.
However, be cautious about the intense shade of black, that may not be accurate for medieval times.
I got the yarn from local thrift store and according to labels was the yarn imported to Norway from British Isles.
