This belt took me almost two years to finish. Unlike other belts I made, this one is woven of cashmere/cotton blend which gives it very smooth finish and subtle silk like shine. The pattern combines greek key and zigzag.
You can skip reading the rest of the description because following is interesting only for a small circle of textile nerds.
So, what is also special about this belt, there are no reversals on it. I regularly untied the warp and combed out the twist build-up. I did it maybe 4-5 times during the process. The pattern comes from Claudia Wollny's Tablets at work. I must admit I like her patterns, I just hate weaving them because there is always some detail that clashes with the way my brain is wired after many years of weaving a certain way. I had to keep looking at the draft literally all the time, which slowed the process. Anyway, I am super happy with the result.
